An Important Note to Our Anacortes Walk Fest Community
What incredible news — walk after walk in our inaugural festival has sold out. That’s entirely thanks to you. The enthusiasm for exploring our trails together has been gratifying. We are so pleased to have so many of you joining us.
Because we are committed to keeping each walk a fun, friendly, high-quality experience — one where every participant can connect, ask questions and truly engage with our knowledgeable volunteer guides — we intentionally cap group sizes and will not be expanding them.
This means a few important things we want to be clear about before Walk Fest days, May 1-4:
- Walk-ups cannot be accommodated. If a walk you’re interested in shows as sold out, we are not able to admit participants at the trailhead on that day, regardless of circumstance. Please do not make the trip out for a sold-out walk, as it would be our very difficult duty to turn you away.
- Your registration is for you only. We know it’s tempting to bring along a friend or family member on the outing — but registered spots are non-transferable and non-expandable. Unregistered guests, including children not listed at registration, cannot join a walk, even informally. This is about fairness to every person who registered and to our commitment to a quality experience.
- Spots do occasionally open up. Cancellations happen. Keep an eye on our website– https://anacorteswalkfest.com/ for any spots that become available. Then, snap them up quickly.
Thank you for understanding and respecting these boundaries — they exist because we believe every single walker deserves the best possible experience. We can’t wait to hit the trails with those of you who are registered. It’s going to be a wonderful long weekend of exploring.
–The Walk Fest Team.
