On this outing, you’ll have time for an active, engaging and fun focus on lichens, fungi and mosses beneath the old-growth trees. Rating: Moderate route, trail roots and ruts, 130-foot elevation gain/loss.
Meeting Point: NOTE: A change in meeting place: Meet at Mt Erie trailhead. From Commercial Ave. in Anacortes, go west on 32nd St.; left on H Ave which becomes Heart Lake Road. Go past Heart lake parking. In ½ mile, look for Mt. Erie parking on the left on Ray Auld Drive.
