The perimeter trail winds along Bowman Bay and Lighthouse Point, where you’ll be rewarded with amazing views of the Olympics, nearby islands and the iconic Deception Pass bridge. Two vista points in one diverse, scenic longer walk. Meet your walk leaders-

Jim & Stephanie Renfro retired to Anacortes 7 years ago, drawn by the variety of fantastic walking trails.  During COVID they hiked every trail and scenic road on Fidalgo Island.

Distance: 3.5 miles
Duration: 2.5 hours
Rating: Moderate on good footpaths with a 450-foot elevation gain/loss.
Meeting Point: Bowman Bay Parking Lot. From downtown Anacortes take WA-20 Spur East, at round about to Oak Harbor take WA-20 W, at next traffic circle go straight staying on WA-20W, in 4.4 miles turn right onto Rosario Rd. Immediate left onto Bowman Bay Road. Downhill to junction where you turn left to parking lot at the beach. Watch for WalkFest signs. Discover Pass Required (can be purchased in advance at Ace Hardware in Anacortes or onsite at an automated pay station)
