Start your Guemes island foray with a short ferry ride, then a relaxed, scenic stroll along a quiet shoreline road to the Guemes Mountain trailhead. From there, tackle a steady 1.5-mile climb to the summit, where bird’s-eye views await: sweeping vistas south, east to Mt. Baker and north to waterways and islands. Clear day highlights majestic Olympics and Cascade peaks and valleys. Return on the same route to your short ferry ride. Leave time for a beverage at the store.

Purchase walk-on pass at ticket kiosk in the ferry office. Cost is $6.75, $4.50 seniors. Debit/credit, no cash. Leader will meet group at Anacortes terminal. Restrooms
