Embark on the ultimate adrenaline rush of the Walk Fest weekend! This challenging hike covers 12 wild miles of the epic Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail. On a heart-pounding traverse, you’ll cross forested ridges above Anacortes, connect to the John Tursi Trail, then finish with a triumphant crossing of the jaw-dropping Deception Pass Bridge. Return shuttle provided. Meet your walk leaders-

Ron Litzinger, fisherman, avid backpacker. For over 50 years a hiker on local trails, his perfect training for backpacking in the Cascades, Sierra Nevada. Eager to hear your hiking stories.

Jeremy Graham, keen hiker/backpacker as soon as he could walk. Native of PNW, addicted to enjoying the outdoors “every chance I get.”

Duration: 6.5 hours
Rating: Hard, with plenty of elevation gain/loss, several steep segments and long distance.
Meeting Point: Parking lot at 2111 R Ave. Lot is at R Ave. and 21st Street, on the east side of R Ave., just north of the roundabout. Street parking also available 22nd St. Free shuttle return to start point.
